Summary

Located in the south east of our 74000 acre reserve you will be greeted by vast herds of Springbuck and Bontebok on the plain leading to the main lodge. Steeped in history, Salisbury plain is set along a river bed. The refurbished colonial farm house this is where your African heaven begins.  Be welcomed by your host as you are invited up the hand-laid slate stone steps to our luxurious lodge. 

Take in the sights and sound as the gentle breeze rustles through the tall trees when the autumn weather brings out the most beautiful colours of Africa. Our three large suites will be sure to welcome you to a South African hunting adventure like no other.  Your private verandah is home to a plunge pool perfect for those hot summers days where you can truly relax and unwind in style.

Return to camp for lunch and relax at Warthog Wallow under the shade of our traditional thatched grassed roof pool area. After a hard days hunting, the perfect bathroom awaits you, whether you prefer a long shower as you watch the sun set or having your feet up as you enjoy the bubbles in a Jacuzzi style bath, Salisbury Plain is the lodge for you. 

Nothing beats a cold beer or a full bodied South African wine around the fire at the Rhino bar after a day under the hot African sun. eZulu Wildlife Safaris is proud to offer you top class African cuisine using local ingredients including some of the finest cuts from your harvests on safari. Dinner can be served at fireside or in our dining room, and why not step into our private wine cellar a pick yourself a bottle of wine to accompany your meal. 

And when it’s all said and done, put your feet up, listen to the sound of the crackling fire as sparks ascend into the star scattered night sky before retiring to your suite with private lounge and king size bed.

Travelling time between camps is no more than +- 2 hours which allows for scenic routes when driving from camp to camp.

  • Bush Camp

    This widely diverse hunting area is home to 6 of the 7 South African biomes (grassland, nama karoo, savanna, thicket, forest and fynbos). This variety of habitat ranges from steep mountainous areas (elevation about 2000ft) to deep riverine valleys and open grass plains. The area also boasts significant amounts of endemic wildlife species. Situated in the Fish River valley between the two historical towns of Bedford and Grahamstown, eZulu Wildlife Safaris presents a uniquely South African safari hunting experience.

  • Mountain Camp

    The Winterberg mountain range along the Swartkei River is home to this prime Mountain hunting safari. The beautiful terrain here varies from rugged deep gorges and cliffs to flat open plains offering some of the most breath-taking sunsets and sunrises. During winter, cold conditions can be expected with snow on the high mountains. Begin your day in the flats at 4000ft where herds of blesbuck and wildebeest found in the hundreds will be your quarry of choice.

  • Coastal Camp

    Spectacular ocean views are one of the most noteworthy features of this prime coastal bushveld land between Port Elizabeth and East London. The habitat consists of thick coastal bush overlooking the Mpekweni River and dunes along the Indian Ocean.
